Small Business Legal Services
The BLA Small Business Legal Services (SBLS) project seeks to provide free, professional legal services to underserved communities in need of business assistance. Small Business Legal Services seeks to bridge the gap between business design and financial sustainability by having students provide business-related legal services to clients, under the supervision of faculty and professionals from UCLA, Public Counsel, and other firms in Los Angeles who share expertise in the field of business and law. Thus, the mission of SBLS is threefold: 1) to supply quality legal services to those in need; 2) to provide meaningful and productive opportunities for students to work with real entrepreneurs; and 3) to promote economic development within the low-income communities of Los Angeles.
